Concord Gives Back is our philanthropic program focused on supporting nonprofit organizations that hold a special meaning to our employees. Each quarter, Concord reviews nominations and selects a recipient for a financial donation.
This quarter, Concord honored Sam Tupy's chosen philanthropic organization, Lift Up.
Lift Up allocates 100% of donations to certified projects around the world. To support this model, corporations and private donors can partner with Lift Up to support the operational budget. These investments enable the nonprofit to scale the organization, maximize impact, and bring its mission into reality.

Can you give a summary of your background?
I spent the first several years of my adult life in local church ministry. After the pandemic hit in 2020, I had a change of heart and began looking for a career that could better support my family and the person I wanted to be. That’s when I learned about UX Design. I attended Prime Digital Academy in the first half of 2021 and was hired into my first official role at Concord in September!
Why did you choose consulting as a profession?
When I think about who I am, two things come to mind. First, I love to connect with and help people. Second, I am creative. As a UX Consultant, I get to help clients solve their problems while designing interfaces that serve as a creative outlet.
Why did you decide to join Concord?
I heard great things about this team from people both inside and outside the company. That said, when I heard about an opening for a UX role, it was a no-brainer.
What is a benefit to your role at Concord?
I love my team. I work with some of the smartest, kindest, and most creative people. I look forward to every opportunity I have to meet and work with them!
How does Lift Up align with your values, passions, and/or interests?
I truly believe in Lift Up's mission. I also love the work they do to support other nonprofits. Lift Up is highly transparent and operates solely off of corporate sponsors. I know they work hard to verify the projects they fund and make sure 100% of individual donations go to the project of their choice. I have volunteered my time with Lift Up in the past and thought Concord would be a great corporate sponsor!
