Facing Power BI connection issues with your migration to GA4? Find out how to make your business intelligence tools connect properly amidst the transition.
Google Analytics customers have been working on migrating from Universal Analytics to GA4 to meet the impending migration deadline of July 2023. Google will no longer be supporting historical versions of their analytics platforms after the sunset date; it is critical for companies to make this transition so they can continue to use Google Analytics data to inform and guide business decision-making.
Beyond the important heavy lifting of migrating to the new property, organizations have to contend with a number of downstream impacts on integrations. Many clients leverage additional business intelligence tools to connect their Google Analytics data to other key business data and gain a full view of customer behavior. While some platforms have a GA4 connector readily available, other connectors are still in progress and may not be completed until after the migration deadline has passed.
If you are in the latter group, you might be asking questions like:
- “Do we leverage an existing tool in our stack to use as a bridge connector?”
- “Do we invest in a third-party connector that we will have to pay for and maintain?”
- "Do we just wait until the platform connectors are readily available?"
These are all valid questions, and the right answer will vary greatly depending on your unique scenario. If you are in the process of evaluating your options, Concord has experience in guiding clients to the right solution and implementing based on the situation at hand.
